Williams Aviation founder Murle Williams is a multi-national award winning aircraft builder and pilot. His first home-built aircraft, a Kitfox Model III not only won light-plane Grand Champion at Sun-n-Fun and Champion kit-built at Oshkosh but also a Wright Brothers Award for outstanding workmanship. Murle followed that with a Series 5 Kitfox that is the only Kitfox ever to win EAA overall Grand Champion at Sun-n-Fun. This airplane also took home the honors as Champion kit-built at Oshkosh and has won awards in fly-ins from coast to coast.

Murle's personal airplanes have won various awards at airshows and fly-ins across the country: Sun-n-Fun, Oshkosh, Copperstate, Merced, Watsonville, Glendale, Scottsdale, Dayton, and the factory fly-in in Nampa and Caldwell, ID. Through his builder assist program, Murle's shop has produced other award-winning aircraft that have taken honors at nearly every major national fly-in.
